Strengthening Human Risk Management and International Background Screening

CypSec today announces a strategic partnership with Validato AG, a Zurich-based leader in digital background checks and human risk management. Together, the two firms will deliver integrated solutions that combine rigorous HR screening and cybersecurity expertise, aiming to help organisations in the DACH region better manage both human and digital risk.

Validato brings to the partnership a modular, scalable platform for integrity screening, including pre- and in-employment checks, verification of qualifications, identity and work permits, media and open source intelligence research, conflict-of-interest evaluations, use of sanctions lists, and financial integrity reviews. CypSec contributes its deep experience in cybersecurity, critical infrastructure protection, secure communications, and threat risk modelling. The joint offering is designed to help customers close gaps that arise when human risk is treated separately from digital or networked threats.

Under this partnership, CypSec and Validato will co-develop frameworks tailored to sectors with heightened requirements, such as finance, energy, health, and critical infrastructure. This will include joint consulting services, risk framework design, ongoing monitoring of human behaviour risk, and seamless integration of screening outputs into cybersecurity threat models. The goal is to help organisations anticipate, detect, and mitigate risks both from external attackers and from internal exposures.

Implementation rollout will begin in Q4 2025, with pilot programs in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. Full availability for enterprise customers is expected by mid-2026. As part of the agreement, both firms will ensure compliance with GDPR, ISO 27001, and relevant local regulatory standards, delivering solutions that respect privacy, data integrity, and due process.
