CypSec Partners with Mohawk College

Advancing College-Driven Cybersecurity Research and Education in Hamilton

CypSec today announced a strategic partnership with Mohawk College to drive collaborative cybersecurity research, enhance hands-on education, and explore joint commercial initiatives. Mohawk College has built a strong reputation for applied cybersecurity training, anchored by its dedicated Cyber Lab (EA311), active Cyber Security Club, and applied research hub.

The collaboration will build on Mohawk's expertise in experiential learning and CypSec's advanced security infrastructure. The partnership includes in-kind contributions of CypSec-managed cloud servers, proprietary security toolkits, and real-world threat intelligence feeds to expand Mohawk's existing Cyber Lab. Together, the organizations will also organize co-branded Capture-the-Flag competitions, hackathons, and webinars for students and faculty.

Beyond training, the partnership also opens paths for commercial collaboration. Mohawk's research programs allow faculty and co-op students to contribute directly to industry projects. CypSec and Mohawk will explore joint ventures and co-marketing opportunities that position Mohawk as a technical partner in CypSec's global engagements.

The partnership will further include joint grant proposals, R&D projects using CypSec's anonymized threat data, and participation in larger research consortia. This integrated model will provide Mohawk with industry visibility and workforce pipelines, while giving CypSec access to emerging talent and innovative research from Mohawk's faculty and students.
